I'm a coffee drinker, houseplant nurturer, book lover, reality tv connoisseur, and dog owner to the goofiest Golden Retriever mix. I’m also a Scorpio, a millennial, an oldest daughter and a middle child, a Midwesterner, and someone who cries every time I listen to “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac.

I received my Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I previously worked as a school-based social worker for over six years, and then as a therapist at Austin Teen Therapy for two and a half years.

I also want to name that I’m a white, cisgender, able-bodied woman who grew up middle class. I hold a lot of privilege in these identities, and a lot of inherent power in the role of Therapist, and I try to be very intentional about recognizing that. I’m a professional, but I’m not The Expert; rather, I believe that YOU are the expert on your own life.

I believe that others need to earn the right to hear your story, myself included. I can promise authenticity, empowerment, and respect from me as we build a trusting relationship together.
