EMDR THerapy
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a form of therapy that helps clients heal from traumatic memories and/or deep-rooted negative beliefs. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (eye movements or tapping back and forth) to help your brain reprocess distressing memories and rewrite negative beliefs.
Who Can Benefit from EMDR?
EMDR is most often used for folks who are experiencing symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); however, it’s not limited to those with vivid, traumatic memories. EMDR can also be a great option for folks struggling with depression, self-esteem, or anxiety, among other struggles. EMDR can particularly be helpful for anyone who has tried traditional talk therapy and is still feeling “stuck” or blocked from making the progress that they desire.
